During 2017 & 2018 I saw an art therapist named Dave labrum for trauma therapy. He helped me expand my horizons and open up borders in my mind that I didn’t even know were there. Before I saw him, I didn’t paint with with my whole soul. My pieces lacked freedom and expression. After my sessions with him started, I began to create at an express rate — turning out painting after painting filled with feeling and emotion. I had found my spark of light in the darkness and I used it to create. What you’re seeing here is an intimate reflection of my trauma recovery story and journey.
